Very often after an update that contains minor changes to templates, cache is not cleared and fix is therefore not applied.
Adding a subdirectory with current version should avoid that.
Maybe upgrade process can take care of cleaning old cache directories? That's not a great deal, we're talking about a few Mio for the whole cache directory.
